Meet Dr. Karrie Hilliard

I am a Licensed Psychologist with a passion for partnering with individuals and families across all stages of life.

As a former bilingual kindergarten teacher and a parent to three young boys, my winding path to becoming a psychologist deeply informs my work. I’ve supported people in many settings—from schools serving students with the greatest needs to those striving for the highest performance—and have worked with a wide range of clients, from children and teens to parents and adults seeking greater clarity and balance.

At the heart of my work is a deeply held belief that all parents want the best for their children, and that everyone—no matter their age—is doing the best they can with the tools they have.

Many things can stand in the way of our best selves, but meaningful change is always possible with the right support. I collaborate closely with individuals, families, and educators to identify challenges and design comprehensive, evidence-based plans for growth. My areas of focus include ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, and learning disorders.

  • With 18 years of experience in schools, I’ve supported children through both short-term challenges and longer-term skill development to improve self-regulation, focus, sleep, emotional control, and relationships. Whether a child has a diagnosis like ADHD, autism, anxiety, or depression—or is simply navigating life’s bumps—I partner with families to strengthen coping skills and help children thrive at home, at school, and within themselves.

  • As a licensed psychologist and LSSP with a doctorate in school psychology, I specialize in assessments for school-related support, particularly learning disorders. My doctoral research focused on identifying reading disabilities (dyslexia) in bilingual English/Spanish learners. I work with bright, capable students who may be underperforming and offer bilingual assessments to help uncover their unique learning needs and strengths.
