Applying to private school is an exciting milestone, but the admissions process can also feel overwhelming. Many Houston-area private schools require individually administered cognitive testing as part of the application process.
At Sprouting Psychology, we offer professional, individually administered WPPSI-IV and WISC-V testing in a comfortable, child-friendly environment. Our goal is to provide families with a convenient, supportive experience and reliable results, allowing you to focus on the many other parts of your child's school journey.
The WPPSI-IV is designed for children ages 2 years, 6 months through 7 years, 7 months, and is commonly used for preschool, prekindergarten, and kindergarten admissions. The WISC-V is designed for children ages 6 through 16 years, 11 months, and may be requested for older applicants.

We understand that private school applications come with busy schedules and important deadlines. Sprouting Psychology offers flexible scheduling, competitive pricing, and completed admissions testing reports within 48 hours of testing.
With appropriate authorization, reports can be provided directly to the admitting school, to parents, or both, in accordance with the school's policies. Parents who would like to better understand their child's results may also schedule an optional feedback consultation.
Before scheduling, we encourage families to confirm with their school's admissions coordinator that testing completed by an independent licensed psychologist will satisfy its requirements. Some schools require testing through a specific organization, while others accept testing from qualified private practitioners.
